History

Accord Research was founded in Prague in the Czech Republic in 2010 by experienced professionals from both the pharmaceutical and CRO industries.  From the outset, Accord Research closely collaborated with Prague Clinical Services, which is part of the pharmaceutical company Nordic Pharma, providing extensive monitoring and project management services.

Soon after foundation, the company’s operational footprint was quickly extended from the Czech Republic and Slovakia across Europe and CEE.  Initially the company was responsible for the setup, coordination and execution of clinical studies, which included the management of all involved third-party vendors including Data Management, Statistics, Pharmacovigilance, as well as Drug Logistics and Supplies. In this way, Accord Research gradually extended its capabilities to manage the full spectrum of services for the client and established Accord Research as a truly cross functional, full service CRO. Due to the strength of its offering, the company grew organically due to consistent repeat business, and expanded further as new clients were engaged, leading to the formation of an universal team with international capability.

In 2014 Accord Research became part of the acclaimed PPF Group, and as part of this group continues to provide a full clinical research service for both pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.. Accord Research closely cooperates with SOTIO, a Czech-based biotechnology company, also part of PPF Group, to develop a new active cellular immunotherapy for the treatment of cancer and autoimmune diseases.

PPF Group is one of the largest investment group in Europe, invests into multiple market segments such as banking and financial services, telecommunications, real estate, retail, insurance, agriculture and biotechnology. PPF's reach spans from Europe to Russia, the USA and across Asia
